This has been my favorite episode; I really mean that.

      1. TheaDragonSpirit

        @Rich St Aubin I want a Marble Machine X Blueprint poster. :)

      2. Rich St Aubin

Dose anyone want a WILLSON ornament for christmas? I do.

      3. Sebastian-Marcus Post

      4. TheaDragonSpirit

@Wintergatan Are you going to do new Blueprint posters on your website?

      5. Joe Nicotera

@Wintergatan ...but the previous instrument wrote better sheet music. Has maestro considered that the marbles need to escape in order to get his jokes?

    2. Jacob Milford

First time to the channel, and I can was first off wow this is amazing. But I have a question While I understand wood is easier to work with and such, once you pick a efficient gear design will you ever switch to metal gears?

    3. ᒚᘿՏᑘՏ

I like how he used legos for some things

    4. Jibé Lu

Hands up for this wonderful duet !!! MMX snare drum + Martin's guitar 🤩🤩🤩

    5. Moritz

what is the song at the end? 34:10

    6. artsycjm

I have watched off and on for 3 years! Hahah 👏 Once finished mixed emotions of sad ending and so proud of you! Still enjoying Amazing ride.

    7. [ Slimeade ]

I’m surprised he hasn’t added graphite or something between moving parts to reduce friction

    8. Jaseymax Maxwell

      Keep it up!

    9. Loki Makinen

I'm so glad you've decided to keep slaying the dragons but I'm really going to miss this time watching with excitement, hopes and joy. I'll always be rooting for you Martin even if the machine is never completed. I've learned so much from this whole community. Thank you so much to everyone for inspiring me over the years. Especially this last year.

    10. Gamenight Gaming

He's a moron, he's going to light that machine on fire

    11. Fross Plays

lmao, he became a garage boy for an hour

    12. theBurgerBox

      Holeh Schmoleh

    13. Li Buddha

      A beautiful mind

    14. Livi 120

This is better built than a Rolls Royce

    15. Sot

Thank you, for not giving up. We won't give up, either!

    16. Bert H

Don't forget that if you have metal on metal fraction you can use brass to help

    17. Adamzah S.B

This is the most emotional episode

    18. Farhan Fazar Octova

      MOST GENIUS MAN

    19. Preske

      graphite powder all the things!

    20. Jamie

why not graphite the wooden gears as well to help reduce friction and catching?

    21. Rick Lowrance

The machine is not stupid and you are a brilliant individual.

    22. Stijn

Martin: Plays with a happy gear. Also Martin: Puts pencil through said happy gear's eyes... Didn't know you played the Joker in The Dark Knight D:

    23. Stijn

Watching this in 2021 is such a great feeling.

    24. syuriken rasengan

It feels so good when you know what's wrong with your work, if I build this, I will not know my mistakes 😂

    25. titsofbrass

have you thought about using lube like graphite powder on some of the parts or grease the bearings in parts this first the instrument I've seen with so many moving parts and no lube anywhere. even clarinets get cork wax

    26. Zeph

      13:10

    27. coredumperror

This is such a satisfying watch! And I've seen all of *one* video on your channel before this one.

    28. KirjothRamah

      Congratulations!

    29. Mark Lowry

I just watched a crazy Swede troubleshoot his gigantic marble machine for 36 minutes. Time well spent 😁

    30. tim joris de vries

It is a incredible machine. So cool to see you fix it and talk about it.

    31. JCWolf2

DRUM SOLO! points to machine that has been doing the same task for the last 3 hours.

    32. Fajar Shodiq

I really felt what you feel, you just never give up, amazing.. And it always make me smile to see all your hardwork, somehow i really proud, congratulation

    33. clownsheep22

You are truly an inspiration for me and countless others

    34. clownsheep22

Martin my man, what camera is that?

    35. keigezellig

Fantastic, it is just like finding and solving bugs in a large application

    36. jm m

You should really get some sleep my dude.

    37. Karsten Vildt

too bureaucratic, so missing important points: Jamming is the real danger, and why not test stability in the song process. The logical sense is left out due to politically correctness and Ghreta Thurnburg

    38. LEDS

      I. BE. LIEVE!

    39. Warren Butt

The ending talk was incredibly motivational! You always hear about how you need to "break things down" but actually seeing it in progress as you develop a system to identify actionable short term goals to make significant process really puts things into perspective in a way that many "productivity gurus" just don't manage to get across. I wish I would have discovered this channel earlier, as this whole journey is amazing.

    40. Cam Wakabayashi

Wood is gonna get worn down on a world tour

    41. Chuck Bock

OG video came out 4 years ago. Still sooo good! Cannot wait to hear the updated version :)

    42. Daniel Jakubik

I love his approach, attention to detail, improvement orientation and dedication ! A creative and talented mechanical engineer and musician!

    43. 6lue Already Dead

So am I right in thinking the ages made a super complicated steam punk version of a metronome? Because that's what it seems like🤷🏼‍♂️💯😆🤣😂😭

    44. 6lue Already Dead

Idk how i found this video🤷🏼‍♂️😆 but this guy is like a smart version of pewdiepie 😆🤣😂🤣😂😭😭😭🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️💯💯

    45. Alan Dike

the gears.. offset one by .125 - .25" OUT so it's flush at the furthest excursion of the wheel ? it can drive and help split the force while it still avoids hitting the inner teeth. Might work and let you use the 1.4 with proper engagement... Or I could be very wrong. I love what you're doing man!

    46. little llama

      Most complicated metronome

    47. Jump2218

Great episode! Don't give up! It's an awesome project!

    48. Fsbo Dever

Brother, words can't express the encouragement and clarity that you brought with this simple idea. Such an accomplishment, and this is only the beginning! Congratulations on winning against yourself, now keep repeating successes and everything will just align for you. THANK YOU, and you've got my sub forever.

    49. Dee

Brother the problem solving that you’ve done with this machine was amazing! I loved the mechanics that you’ve done and the hard working efforts in your work was SO PEACEFUL! 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽. KEEP UP THE HARD WORK BROTHER!

    50. Dee

      I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

    51. pythoncoltz

      What's that guitar?

    54. Steven Bailey

It was deep , to hear about your thoughts and feelings of possibly giving up this past year. But you can't, because you would regret later on in life, and you will never know how much of an INSPIRATION you are to me and the world. Never give up. It will be a MASTERPIECE.

    55. Wayne C.

Are you a musician that likes engineering or are you an engineer that enjoys his music?

    56. Kyle Sebring

Some people are so good they make you feel dumb, but this guy is so great he makes me feel smart.

    57. Seth Startix

The level of engineering is something I can't even pretend to understand. There is also something beautiful with having such intimate knowledge to fine tune a complex machine. This guy just oozes talent.

    65. Satish Parbhudial

    84. News & Views Today

The beautiful brilliant mind of a brilliant, beautiful boy~man... you are forever young & a genius in all you dream & then create, your vision, design, craftsmanship, intelligence, & dilligence to make your dreams come true. You inspire so many how lovely & amazingly impressive that you went through the dark times & stuck with it not only coming out the other side but surpassing even your original goal. Such an inspiration, who ARE you, Mozart back again??? Seriously. Thank you for sharing with us all, thank you! Cheers mate from a Canadian in Australia.

    85. Ron Geernaert

As a master machinist and a guitar repair person. this combination of machine technology and music is fascinating ! Outstanding work !!

    96. Eric Smith

The humidity probably plays havoc with the wood

    97. yeputons

20 fails out of 5000 attempts is 99.6% probability of not having a failure, NOT 99.996%. Same as 200 fails out of 5000 is 96%, and 2000 fails is only 60%.

    98. Melike Amjarv

      TIME TAKES IT ALL

    99. Nico Bianco

      Why tho

    100. Incognito Tempo

I know it's non of my business and I don't know what works well but was wondering what would happen whether washers, rubbish overlys, chark grip and oil slip is used and if any of it will improve or make more apparent or does anything or nothing. I don't know if you make more than one machine though. To test more than one idea to make the best one better.
